History

Established in 2006, Pure Spirit Drinks Ltd is an independent drinks specialist retailing a wide range of premium drinks products including rare whiskies, spirits and real ales.

Owned and managed by Stephen and Joanne Hay, Pure Spirit Drinks opened its first shop in the picturesque village of Kinver (South Staffordshire) in 2008.  The business is now located in the heart of the historic market town of Ludlow in Shropshire.

We hold an extensive range of rare, unusual and exceptional drinks and provide a free drinks sourcing service with access to thousands of product lines.  In addition we also provide advice on purchasing for investment and hold regular drinks tasting events, including popular malt whisky evenings.

Managing Director: Stephen Hay Pure Spirit Drinks founder and whisky enthusiast, Stephen spent his informative years in Aberdeen where he developed a taste for the finer things in life. Favourite Malts: thundering Ardbegs, complex Rosebanks and rich salty Springbanks. When dragged away from ‘sampling’ whiskies, Stephen enjoys being walked by a mad cocker spaniel, mountain biking and spending time with family and friends.

Company Secretary: Joanne Hay Passionate about all things culinary, Jo enjoys pairing fine drinks with cuisine, as well as making traditional Black Country pies. Favourite Drinks: old ladies sherry, fruity liqueurs and more than a few glasses of Rose. When not slaving over a hot oven, sorting out company paperwork, or watching the latest scandal in Eastenders, Jo enjoys nothing more than shopping…shopping and shopping.
